BARBARA A. CARDONE received her Bachelor’s degree cum laude from Georgetown University in 1982 and her law degree cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1985.  From 1985-1986, she served as law clerk to David G. Roberts, Associate Justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.  She has been representing clients in family law matters for 20 years.

Barbara is a former Chair of the Maine State Bar Association Family Law Section for 2002-2003.  She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a member of the American Bar Association Family Law Section.  She also serves as an Associate Justice on the Penobscot Tribal Court.  Barbara also serves as a guest lecturer on family law issues at Continuing Legal Education seminars for lawyers.

Barbara is admitted to practice in both Maine and Massachusetts.

NINA L. ADAMS has twenty-five years of experience as a legal assistant. She has concentrated her work in family law for the last eleven years, where she and Barbara have worked as a team.  Nina assists clients with gathering information necessary to the divorce process and completing the divorce documentation.  She also keeps current on the status of cases in the office so that she can assist clients inquiring about a case status.

Nina is a past President of the Penobscot County Legal Secretaries Association and the Penobscot Chapter of the Maine Association of Paralegals.
